If you believe in God they can. There has been homosexuals who turned away from their sinful ways.

Yup. I was one of those gays for a long time... turned away from my gay life...

Worst years of my life.... During those years, God was the furthest that He has ever been from my life

The way you speak does not indicate that you recognize your sin. That is why you keep getting responses as you do. I appears you wish to legalize the acceptance for homosexuality (civil) from what I believe you wrote. Yet? You recognize your sin? How is that?

And? As far as discrimination? If you call yourself a believer? It places you in God's Word as to be treated a certain way by those who choose to walk in moral straightness.

I know that your sin is between you and God.

But, in the mean time. That is what the Word says one is to do with someone who calls himself a believer, yet wishes to live in sexual immorality. Do not associate with him. It does not say, be his friend and openly accept him. You wish open acceptance, even if you choose to have an active homosexual relationship going on. We have an obligation to God, too. Its not all about you.

Now if you are walking in grace and growing in truth? Being chaste, like any single Christian should be walking? Then you are a welcome guest. But, I have seen in the past that homosexual Christians in particular have a big problem with remaining pure. Because in God's eyes, there is no such thing as homosexual dating.

So be it... we have all been given our cross to bear. God is not unfair. He is not unjust. He knows what each one of us can bear in temptation. And, he knows of the struggle that all believers go through in achieving maturity in Christ. Some who were homosexuals before they got saved get there. Many do not. Just like many who are heterosexuals do not get there. Most will fail to achive maturity in Christ. They may grow in perfecting their self image in religion. But, not in Christ.

Homosexuality is your cross to bear. Why? That is what you need to discover as you mature in Christ. Not in the excuses the world offers.

You are 100% correct.

And you know what? When I get to the pearly gates and I stand before God and ask to enter heaven, one of two things'll happen.

1) I'll get into heaven, just as I am and I will know what I suspect now, that God loves me just as He made me

2) God will say that since I didn't repent for my sins, I will not get into heaven. If this is the case... If God wants no part of me because I am a gay man, then I want no part of God.



Understand this: I am fully aware that I am a sinner. But, I am an unrepetent sinner. Why? Because, I am fully secure in my relationship with God. I know God loves me as I am.

I don't need to provide scriptural support for my opinions because not all of my opinions are formed from Biblical scripture.

My basis is my life.

Does a prisoner of war know about what it's like to be a prisoner of war?

Does a man who works for 40 year inside a Winnie-The-Pooh costume know what it's like to work in a giant bear costume?

Does a violinist know what it's like to have calloused fingers?

I've never heard of that term, but from your brief description, that certainly seems to apply to me.

Part of what forms my decisions is my life experiences. Another part is what I read, watch and learn (the Bible being one of many things that I've read). Another part is from what I've learned in my education.

And all of those things combine to form my opinions on various things in life...

Good question.

It depends on the situation. I will say that the Bible doesn't "win out" (for lack of a better term) in all situations.

In many cases, my scientific mind comes to more logical answers...

Additionally, being liberal-leaning, and living in New Hampshire (who's state motto is "live free or die"), I don't always fall in agreement with Biblical laws.

So, you have no longer turned away. You are actively homosexual?

Well...... what can we reason with, then?


There are straights that have their worse years of their life as they become isolated by God, so he can have them to Himself for a season of transformation. Its painful even for straights when God does that. But, its not a simple matter of abstinence. Its a matter of VIRTUE being erected in the soul of the believer, so that morality becomes a relaxed and peaceful matter. Not one of dispair and lonliness. That is, if one is finding Christ in their life, and not simply a life of moral legalism.

Jesus Christ is less real to you than your sin is? ......

That is why believers reject God's plan for their lives. For what they desire in their flesh is more real to them than Christ.

Yet, for those who persevere? Who refuse to quit?


If our faith is not genuine? Faith is what we believe concerning God's Word. If its false? We will not have what it takes to be made able by grace to break trough and overcome the demonic forces that wants to keep all believers down and ineffectual.

Many lose this battle because what they prefer over true faith is distortions which makes them feel good about themselves in their self image. All done in the name of Christ.


Many will not put up with (endure) sound doctrine.

Just like those with a self righteous judgemental mind set will find a church that offers legalism to follow, as to give license to judge others who are not naturally strict like they are.

There will also be certain churches raised up to pamper homosexuals who refuse to accept the challenge God has offered them in Christ.

Jesus said, the way to destruction is "broad and wide."
Its not for just one group of like minded people!
For every wide and varied natural preference that is to be found and is manifested in natural man.... there will be somewhere out there, a denomination created in order to appeal to that natural preference. It will be broad and wide..... thousands of denominations.

Some Gays find churches that tell them its OK to be gay.

Legalists find churches that tell them its righteous to judge others and look down their noses when another may have a drink, dance, or practice mixed bathing.

Others, want to believe that God loves them simply because they volunteer to do nice things for others. Yet, they neglect the constant growth needed in the knowledge of the Word as to achieve maturity in Christ. For, "He is the Word."

Doing nice sacrificial things for others imputes no knowledge... nothing but a sweet and gentle sense of self approval, for being a nice altruistic soul by nature.

Well.... so be it. That's the way it will be for many.
