Who's getting the new pokemon?

I haven't played a pokemon game since pokemon red, but I'm getting diamond or pearl. I'm looking forward to getting back into it, and I'll be playing wi-fi. I'll post my friend code when I get the game.

I just got a DS Lite so I'm looking forward to playing one of these two.

Does anyone however know the difference between the two games? Is it just the fact that like some of the other Pokemon games, certain Pokemon will be on one but not the other?

Yeah, diamond and pearl are the exact same games, they each just have a few pokemon that the other doesn't have. My friend code is 0688 1733 9603 post yours!

My brother and I were discussing this over the phone the other day. One of us is going to get Diamond and the other will get Pearl. This way we can trade via Wi-Fi with our DSes.

I'm thinking of getting Pearl. Although I can't get the game until I get paid from work on Friday so I have a few days to decide.

As for the friend codes, I think there is some kind of tower in the game you have to go to and you find yours. I remember reading something about some battle towers in each town where you can battle players via Wi-Fi and trade with other players via Wi-Fi. I could be wrong but I think that's what I read.

I got Diamond on Wednesday. Its AWESOME. My Pokemon so far:

Lv. 36(sorta ignored) Staraptor Moves: Fly, Take Down, Defog, Aerial Ace
Lv. 49 LUCARIO(AWESOME) Moves: Rock Climb, Close Combat, Dragon Pulse, Aura Sphere
Lv. 51 Dialga Moves: Metal Claw, Ancient Power, Dragon Claw, ROAR OF TIME

I don't know how to do a THING with Wi-Fi so if someone could give a step-by-step guide that would be great!

You need to find the Diamond manual, and make sure you have the requirements.

I'm tempted to, though I don't have much money. I'd like to see some reviews first too. Sapphire was only OK in my mind. Silver is still my favorite. My main problem with Sapphire is I felt the balance was off. There was too much of a difference between the last gym leader and the Elite Four champion, so too much level grinding was required, so I just got fed up. Leaf Green I thought was well done, though. I'll definitely be looking into getting into one of these.

Which one has more psychic types (if anyone knows)? Psychic types are my favorite, so I'd like to have a good selection.

Okay guys. I need some help with the WiFi.

I have a wireless network at my school, but I can't connect to the WiFi in the wireless hotspots. The connections like the IP address are all correct, but I think I'm blocked by a firewall or something.

I'm actually trying to find a USB connector that I can use to connect to my DS and then to my computer. I've heard there are such things, but I can't find a cable or a place to plug one in on my DS Lite. I've heard it's just called a WiFi cable.

Any ideas? Because I want to try out the WiFi on my Pokemon Pearl game pretty darn badly.

I'm just going to rent Diamond and my friend is going to rent Pearl and we'll trade and battle back and forth and all that good stuff, but I don't think I'll be buying it. Keeping my money saved up for all the 360 games coming out this year that I want.

The average level increases by one or two levels for each E4 member so this is expected. I do remember it being easier the first time through in RBY than in Emerald though. In D/P the last gym has levels as high as 49, then the E4 goes from 53 up to 66. If you have a good team you can get through with 5 or 6 pokemon as low as Lv56 - 58.

The only psychic type exclusive to one game is Slowpoke in Pearl version.

There is, of course, the Pal Park, opened up aftr you beat the Champion, and get the National Dex. With that, you can transfer all of your Pokemon from R/s/E/FR/LG onto your copy of D/P

I got Diamond, because Diamond has Tyranitar .

And, I'm going to transfer a Ralts over from Emeral to geta Gallade
