What! Vote for Trump? Sorry. I just have higher standards than that. Not voting for Biden either for multiple political reasons having nothing to do with his dotage. But you can vote however you want.
I understand your position. Fact is, though, love him or hate him as a person, I REALLY liked the job Trump did as president. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that he was the best president in my lifetime (I'm 70). One thing I learned from him: I will never again vote for a career politician for president. I'll write my own name in first, if necessary.

And regarding the things Trump said - I learned decades ago to ignore what a politician says, and watch what they do. Hence my comment above.

This is why I'll be voting for him too. I don't like Trump as a person, but the overturning of Roe v Wade is a direct result of Trump having won the election instead of Hillary. Biden has only fought against Christian causes while in office.

During the 2016 election I was listening to NPR covering a Trump rally live. This was when the Stormy Daniels thing came out. On live radio they asked a woman why she was voting for Trump, considering the Daniels story, and her response was priceless, and shaped this whole thing for me:

"I'm voting for president, not husband."

Ever since then, I realized there was some similarity to King David, the murdering adulterer - but a man after God's own heart. The ol' morality thing is a bit more complicated than most people realize.

This just showed up in my wife's feed on her phone today. I think it sums up politicians - and many voters - in the US. It also hints at why I ignore what politicians say and go by their track record.

So there are lots of ways of doing that.
(Voting against Biden) Not really. I have voted for third party candidates in the past when I haven't liked the choices, but I kind of regret that now - it was basically throwing my vote away. To vote against Biden, Trump is the only one who has a realistic chance of beating him (as the candidates currently stand). There are things I like about Trump, and things I dislike about him, but I much prefer him to Biden.

I didn't vote in 2016, I wasn't convinced that any of the candidates were the best choice... after four years of the Trump administration, even I had to admit that Donald Trump was doing a great job. It was in 2020 when I decided to vote for the first time, and I vote for Donald Trump...
then we saw the train wreck that was the 2020 general election.

I am still convinced that there was voter fraud, and for a while, I was I decided that I would not vote in that 2024 presidential election, because I thought my vote would no longer count...

after yesterday, after seeing what happened in Pennsylvania, I will be voting in the 2024 presidential election, and I will be voting for Donald Trump.

If I didn't vote, that would be equivalent to an enabling of those who would do wicked and terrible acts of violence... Need to sit on the sidelines in my mind is to say that what happened yesterday was OK... and it's not OK.

In a way, this may sound very very weird and strange, but what happened last night helped Donald Trump earn another vote.
