Who is your favourite Early Church Father and why?

Mine would have to be Ignatius and Polycarp. Both very brilliant, learned men. Their works are so inspiring and show their love and knowledge of God.

St. John Chrysostom is one who sticks out.

He abridged the Divine Liturgy into its current form while still maintaining the sanctity of worship.

His homily on Pascha (Easter) is still read on every Pascha service (usually around Saturday's midnight is when the service begins and lasts until 3am the next day).

He did a lot of stuff.
