  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok lets hear it.

Mine personally is John Piper. You probably most know him as an author, but hiis passion and teaching are AMAZING! Check out his site for some sermons and his radio ministry. www.desiringgod.org

And of course my own pastor, Coach Phil! He is an amazing man of God. Check out some of his sermons if you want at our church website - www.fbcpowell.com

My favorite is Pastor Dan McGhee (http://myharvestbible.org/). He helped me quite a bit on my road to salvation. The man is not ashamed to discuss what the bible teaches and he does it in a loving manner with a strong passion. I wish he was ministering closer to where I live so I could attending his services more. For as tough as some of his sermons were, I always left renewed/recharged. Definitely a man with a heart for the Lord. I could ramble on about how blessed he is by the Lord, but I think you get the picture

Right on!

There's an awesome preacher in one of the big Baptist churches in Ohio (an associate pastor) who has a Scottish or Irish accent. I've heard 'im on the radio, but I can't remember his name. Anyway, he's fantastic!

I've heard of him, my pastor loves him. Does he live in Memphis?

And o yeah I don't know why I said baptist preachers, any other favs?
I am not sure where he is based but I do believe if he is not now, he was once the SBC president/chairman, whatever they call them.

I like Ian Paisley, Billy Graham, Charles Stanley, RC Sproul, Dr. Alan Cairns, (used to really like ) Jimmy Swaggart, John MacArthur, Ray Stedman, Ray Comfort, and J Oswald Sanders.
