Who is the spirit of truth & Helper?

Jesus said:
“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
John 16:12-15

He did come at Pentecost.

Acts 2:

When the day of Pentecost came, the believers were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw tongues like flames of a fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. The Spirit was in existence however it wasn’t guiding the Aposltes yet.

The Holy Spirit came to guide the Apostles and believers after the departure of Jesus and still guides us, what you said isn’t very clear.

Possibly the prophets however it’s very different to the coming Jesus promised as Jesus said the Holy Spirit shall dwell within the believers.

Jesus had to die and give us forgiveness, complete forgiveness and justification before the Holy Spirit could indwell believers

Jesus refers to a specific purpose for which the Spirit is sent after His ascension. It is not some generic sending of the Spirit as though the Spirit was not active before; the specific purpose Jesus refers to is mentioned variously throughout the New Testament texts: John the Baptist says, "The One who comes after me will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire" which Jesus echoes by saying to His disciples, "You will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now" and Jesus says that the Spirit will be there to comfort His disciples after He is gone, to recall to them all He had said to them; Jesus says the Spirit will empower His disciples to be His witnesses beginning in Jerusalem and ultimately all over the world.

The sending of the Spirit Jesus refers to is for a specific purpose.

Eg if I say I will come to your house and stay forever, next time I cannot say I will come because I'm already there !!
