Sorry, I had you confused with the poster who uses your account to denigrate science and scientists and to post "Science can take a hike"Again, you've got the wrong person.
AV, Genghis Khan ... neither claim all of science is wrong.
Both claim scientists are gifted to us from God.
So ya ... you got the wrong person.
They might be waiting to get an artist to draw it first, so they can present it to the public with:What is this fossil called?
Did Lamarck think that we share common ancestors with the great apes?I hear that all the time, but no one gives me his name.
Level with me.
Was it Charles Darwin? Carlos Linnaeus? who?
No non-human is an ancestor of any human. No human is a descendant of any non-human. Both parents of every human who has parents are, themselves, humans. Trace any human's descent through any line, for as many "begats" backward as you'd like, and every member of that ancestry is a human, and not a non-human:
...human → human → human → human → human → human → human → human → human...
The best they can do is trace one's ancestry back eight generations.Where are the fossil humans from a million 'begats' ago?

You could search, say, the American WestThe ancestry of the British royal family can be traced back more than a thousand years, or more than 35 generations. Moreover, we know that there were humans who lived at least a hundred generations (about 3000 years) ago; archaeologists have found their towns and villages, and their burial places, and we know the names of some of them. If our ancestors of a million generations (20-30 million years) ago were humans of the same species as ourselves, why have palaeontologists not found their fossils in rocks of the appropriate age?
Then it must be by way of written records. The ancestry of the British royal family can be traced back more than a thousand years, or more than 35 generations.
Thanks to writing.Astrophile said:Moreover, we know that there were humans who lived at least a hundred generations (about 3000 years) ago; archaeologists have found their towns and villages, and their burial places, and we know the names of some of them.
Because they don't exist.Astrophile said:If our ancestors of a million generations (20-30 million years) ago were humans of the same species as ourselves, why have palaeontologists not found their fossils in rocks of the appropriate age?
Yep. Although there is a family tree which claims to go all the way back to Adam. I know, laughable, isn't it?Then it must be by way of written records.
Can you produce the writing for the Clovis child burial? Thanks to writing.
Your logic is missing a few steps. It's likely Darwin had God in mind the whole time, given his training in ministry.
But he figured the book would sell better if he didn't mention God.
Everybody in the world but Av.From post 210.
quote function not working
"So you have the fossil remains, but no name assigned to it?"
We, have the remains.
We have the species name.
try again AV
"Sounds like they learned their lesson from Nebraska Man (Hesperopithecus haroldcookii)."
Who is "they"?
I'm not sure what point he made.Everybody in the world but Av.
Because they don't exist.
Time itself started in 4004 BC.
Trace any human's descent through any line, for as many "begats" backward as you'd like, and every member of that ancestry is a human, and not a non-human:
You could search, say, the American West
for yesrs and years, never
find any native burial
Stone tools, though, and even far
more so, the typical flakes
from making them are abundant.
The oldest American artifacts are well under 20k
yrs old.
Africa has older artifacts but nothing
remotely resembling 20,000 000 yrs.
Sorry!I was answering Tortex Plectrum, who said,
There was no limit set on the number of 'begats', and I decided that I would like a million of them.
