Ok, everyone, here's the question: Who is God to you? Now, I know there are a lot of Scripture verses that we can use, but what I'm looking for is true heart expressions of who Jesus is to you.

God is my teacher. He is teaching me discilpline to follow his commands, and he is teaching me to do good in the worldand love. And if I fail, he gives me another chance, and another, and on, to the absolute infinite ammount of patience. He's the perfect teacher, and like any good mentor, he gives his all to me, so I can do what he does. Love all of humanity.

Who is God to me?
God is everything to me.
He is the light and way I see.
He is what I strive to emulate and please and know that I fall far short he still loves me..
Jesus has let me know true love and hopefully I convey that to those I meet.
God is my comfort and protector.
I know you said about scripture but whenever I read this I feel it profoundly in my heart:
From Revelation 22
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. "
He is everything.
God is everything to me.
He is the light and way I see.
He is what I strive to emulate and please and know that I fall far short he still loves me..

I cry at the thought of life with out Him. My heart actually hurts at this thought, honestly, it's right on top of my heart.
Have you ever heard the Frenando Ortega tune "Give Me Jesus" with Ann Graham Lotz stating "Just give me Jesus"? She states through out the song who Jesus is and says, after each phrase "Just give me Jesus" it was very powerful to me when I first heard it.
Just give me Jesus.

Jesus is my saviour and my best friend. I tell him everything. I know that whenever I am down I can turn to him because he is always there. He gives me strength, he gives me courage, he gives me direction and he gives me love. Jesus is everything and I love him with all my heart!

Jesus is my best friend!! My everything!! He never ever leaves my side and I will work through my whole life.. to never leave his.. I will reach out to him just as he reaches out to me!! After all thats what friends are for!!

For me, Jesus is the love of my life. He is the answer to every cry of my heart. And though He has brought an incredible man into my life to be my husband, He has truly spoiled me for any human love.
Words utterly fail me. They are wholly inadequate to describe my Lord, my Love, my Life.
My heart is utterly crushed when I hear how distorted people's views are of Him, and when the misrepresent His nature to others. It is my sole goal in this brief life I've been granted to cause my Lord's Bride to fall madly in love with Him again.

Thank you so much for your words of praise. They convict me as I continue to fall on my own resources (as I believe the lie that I have anything). I feel completely weighed down at my failure to give the glory and praise to God.
But I also feel joy in Him that I have been promised to be freed from myself. Jesus is my savior in the truest, most complete way, as I am being saved from myself in love. Who is God to me? He is my liberator from my greatest enemy - myself.
Praise God for this promise!

God is my comfort, my Savior, my lover, my best friend...He is awesome...Everday, when I get up and look at His wonders and creations and look at my children and my life, my love for Him grows....He is my Lily of the Valley, my bright and morning star, my provider, King of Kings and Lord of Lords...He is the truest friend and will never hurt me or use me as earthly friends have done...He will never leave me nor forsake me...I lift Him up on high and shout out His name to the world...JESUS, JESUS, JESUS!!!!

God is my very best friend! He will never leave me, that to me is the most important, because no matter where I am, no matter what I'm going through, God will never leave. To me that is an attribute of a best friend.
God is my Heavenly Father, the lover of my soul, He knows my heart, He understands my struggles and my strengths. God is my everything, because without Him, I am nothing, and cannot do anything.
I remember a time, when I didn't have God, it was a time of despair, since I have invited God into my life, my life is a time of rejoicing and thankfulness, full of peace, joy and love.

He is everything to me. I cannot imagine my life without Him. He is my Best Friend. People never fail to disappoint me. People I thoyght were my friends turn away and hurt me. My relationship with Jesus is the only one where I am guaranteed not to get hurt. He is my Father, Savior, Lord, Creator. He is my life. My heart sings when I hear His name spoken. At times when I feel no one else understands, He is right there to hold me through the tears and pain. I just love Him so much, words cannot begin to describe it.

He is the creator and someone who is always there to listen. He will always give you an answer to your problems too but only in his amount of time even if it is not when you want him too.

The Lord possesses such overwhelmingly beautiful qualities, yet in my own intimate walk with Him, He has lit my path with mercy and longsuffering most of all. How patient He has been with me!
When I think of the Lord, the name that comes to mind is the Good Shepherd. If you've not yet studied the duties of an earthly shepherd, I urge you to do so! You will be so very blessed when you discover the meaning of the analogy in its entirety!
In the past, I lamented the day of my birth on more than several occasions. Yet now, with an ever increasing knowledge of the Lord and His nature, I thank Him for loving me enough to create me in order that I may enjoy an intimate relationship with Him! I am in absolute awe that my features, my personality, my very being emanated from the pure, infinite genius of such an incomprehensible God! Oh, and to think He would have anything to do with me!
I mean......WOW!!!!!!!

1. Merciful - He saves me when I call Him irrespective of what I have done to Him.
2. Faithful - His anger towards me lasts only for a short while. Then, he forgives me when I cry unto Him.
3. Love - He chastises me when I go astray. Sometimes he allows a certain trial to come my way to build my faith towards Him and to be patient and enduring so that my character may be perfect. He then binds the broken-heart and loves me.
4. Teacher - He teaches me how to make war with the enemy (Satan) and to hold my ground. He makes me a warrior. He makes Himself known to me through His word and speaks to me with a still voice.
5. Not cheap - I can't live for Him one day and live my life the other. He takes me from glory to glory only when I am consistent in my walk with Him.
6. Who He says He is - He is sovereign, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, everlasting, source of life, works by the power of His word.

Praise be to Our Father in Heaven, great is His faithfulness, great is His Love for us, for He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for us on the Cross!
Jesus is my Saviour, my LORD, my King, my Best Friend for me through the good and the bad times. He is my LORD, my Shepherd, who lead me through the valley of the shadow of death, and because of Him i am still alive!
