Probably the unbeliever next door. He said that they were both human or whatever word they used then.

I don't know any Christians that believe that Mary is equal to Jesus.
There are many that refer to Mary as the Mother of Christ, or the Mother of God, since Mary gave birth to a son who had the nature of being both fully human and fully divine. They do not consider her being equal to God, but she is given special honour and respect.

Primary Sources, please with link.

Thanks,
Daniel
Mary as Co-Redemptrix was popularized by the Franciscans. It is rejected by the RCC.

Hello Daniel. I don't know if you're referring to a Catholic idea that Mary is 'Mediatrix of all graces'. I have heard some extreme persons, one on here about 11 years ago, referring to Mary as co-redeemer and co-mediator. Is that what you're referring to?

Probably find many sources, here's one:

(Only because it appeared first in google).

Mary, Mediatrix of All Graces

St. Ephrem: "O most holy Virgin, receive us under Thy protection, if Thou wilt see us saved; for we have no hope of salvation but through Thy means"

God Bless :)
