I am doing a research paper on this but wanted to hear it from someone who actually is a Quaker or is well informed. What is quakerism? what is the idea about the inner light? why doesn't quakerism believe in the bible being the root of the faith? hope someone can answer!

Any library book can answer all of that for you, "Daughter." Bear in mind also, when you ask for a Quaker to explain things, that there are a number of different Quaker groups and that there is a wide variance between them.

There are several people on CF that identify as "Quaker" hopefully they can chime in. That said, there are not that many here, but I am interested to read what they reply.

I am not in a Yearly Meeting but my views are just about the same as the early Quakers.

The inner light is guidance by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the fountain but not the source of ultimate authority but is secondary. It is revelation by the Spirit that comes first.

Read Barclays Apology for more or ask away.
