Quien Soy? ¿Quien Sabe?
Who am I? Do you really wanna know? Now that I think about it: do I even know? Who am I? a question that haunted me...scared me...a question better left alone. My identity was something to be discovered, something I had searched for, something to be desired. Behind the facade-on the inside-who was I when no one was looking? These three words gave me so much anxiety, because I did not have an answer. I was so confused, preoccupied, and worried about who I was that I didn't want to be mixed up with anyone else. I did not want to be called by my last name because I didn't want to be mixed up with my older brother.
I was a child of God, yes. I have been one for so long now. While a son maybe his fathers child he can still rebell against him. However, The problem wasn't necessarily that I was rebelling against my Heavenly Father it was more that I was nothing to Him. I was "straddling the fence." A hypocrite wanting & succeeding in two different lives [lies]. How can you know who you are when you are more than one person. This was the problem. I was one way at home, another at church, and another at school.
I regret that it ook me so long to realize this and to choose who i am. You are not the sum of your genes, or a the result of your social involvment, you choose who you are, and you must choose who you will be.
Joshua 24:15
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
I have realized NO ONE IS ANYONE WITHOUT GOD.
So alas, Who am I? I am a born again Child, and chosen servant of the one true living God Jehovah.
Now I ask...who are you?
