hmmm, I would have to say my mom, dad and one of my great aunts. My mother b/c she taught me to be strong and to fight for what I believe in - that it was okay to go against the grain. To trust my instincts and to not depend on other people for my happiness. My dad b/c of his tremendous bleeding heart and empathy for others and my great aunt rosa b/c of her wisdom and reminding me what is really important in this world.

My boyfriend Stu. I met him online over 2 years ago now...

Urbanfaerie; lucky you're meeting him soon. Good luck. :)

I don't know where I'd be without my boyfriend/best friend either. Actually, I would probably be dead too.

The person who has had the most biggest effect on my life aside from Jesus would have to be my best friend Stephanie.

She's always been there for me, held me close when I cried, made me laugh until I felt better. She always had this giant smile on her face and was always happy to see me. She gives me such praise and insperation and has even saved my life. Twice in fact.

I love her to death, she's like a big sister to me. I love her so much. :)

My Grandma, on my dad's side. I didn't get to know her until I was going through my "wild streak" at 14. Prior to that, I detested her. During that time, she showed me more support than I thought that my parents did. She always understood but never would settle for the things that I was doing. She died right after my 16th b-day. God rest her soul.

interesting responses...

most folks have close family or friends that have greatly impacted their lives...

i suppose that i can't say that at all...

there have been many times when death was near and there have been many people that have impacted my life, without a doubt.

the single largest impact in my life, from a non-religious stance, has come from the most unlikely of sources.. the person that bears me the greatest emnity. by dealing repeatedly with this person i've been able to appreciate aspects of my own behavior that were terrible to behold and at the same time, i've been able to develop patience and tolerance, which i wouldn't trade for anything.

it's rather odd really but those that cause me the most frustration and angst end up helping me the most :) go figure ;)

It's a toss up between Mar and Chrisbot ;)

My daughter Kristyn has had the greatest influence on me...by far hands down. She is everything to me. I couldn't breathe without her. She literally saved my life by coming into my life...

Actually other than my family I think the surgeon who operated on me after my heart had stopped (result from getting thrown through a widshield when I was 19) has had a tremendous amount of positive impact in my life. I just received a letter from him, he writes to me often even though it has been more than a decade...
Technically speaking i should not be here today, but I made it...

I also think Friends make a tremendous impact and many from here I hold in high esteen (Kristen, Badfish, Whit, Prax, Jenn) and have inspired me in many ways...

oh and Voltaire. I love him :)

oh and my step dad. He is the best. The greatest thing to ever happen to my mom...

and also the person who first mixed peanut butter with chocolate. Pure genius! :)
