It's an interesting article. I'm not sure I understand though, the one letter of difference. A dark person's genetic code says this, a light person's genetic code says that........they have a child together, what's their genetic code say?

i agree with the title, not the whole article.

this is my thought-Medieval models of race mixed Classical ideas with the notion that humanity as a whole was descended from Shem, Ham and Japheth, the three sons of Noah, producing distinct Semitic (Asian), Hamitic (African), and Japhetic (European) peoples.

is that a reply to what i put or what? what are you trying to say?
or are you just giving some information? and white is recessive? what about albinos?

Albinos is different. It's a genetic mutation to the pigmentation gene cause it to not produce pigmentation.

Anyway, according to the study, humans were originally more dark skinned, but a mutation occurred to make some humans have lighter skin. If you buy that "mutation only loses information", this makes lighter skin people more inferior, and Adam and Eve with dark skin.

hmmm...there may be some truth to that. but i wouldnt say inferior. i dont know exactly what race a&e were but i assume they were not light or dark, kind of inbetween. like a lot of jews. i think thats how it happened that noah had the genes etc.

Well, I don't agree with inferior, either. It's just some people believe that mutations can only lose information, which causes de-evolution. That's what happens in antibiotic resistant bacteria, they believe. The implications of this belief is that Adam and Eve were dark skinned, and that lighter skinned people would have less genetic information.

Again, I don't agree with anything posted above. I do find this study interesting in that a mutation in the regulatory gene causes skin color difference. I wish more people would realize that skin color doesn't matter, we're all humans.
