While using instagram feel negative or similar feeling to lust

So when ever i turn on instagram it dosn't matter do i look to beautiful girls or not.I just start feeling this negative feeling can't describe it is it just feeling negative or close to lust feeling.Sometimes i try to write to girls on instagram or like there pictures,but then i don't understand why do i start feeling this when it seems i am not doing anything bad in a way. Maybe this is of topic,but i asked God to send me a wife(soulmate) So i am not sure maybe i feel this way because God want's that I would leave my search to his hands what do you think>?

Some of the recent social media uses the dopamine system to keep you hooked through alerts, etc.

And the hope of seeing something interesting can keep you clicking. It is the pursuit of what might be that is similar to the feeling of lust.

If you are writing to someone you are hoping they write back, and searching out something novel. If you get a response, or a like, etc. from people that also drives a feedback loop.

Maybe and I’m not judging you only adding a possibility to the discussion, you realize deep down that looks are superficial, per se and not the most important thing in finding a wife or Godly woman. Maybe your conflict comes from either not wanting to just judge or like based on looks and little else or it could be that your feeling a little guilt because you do not want to value physical beauty over more important qualities to God.

I don’t know your personal situation so just throwing some throughts out there.

I used to use it a lot,but now for almost 5 months i havent used it much.It just enough for me to use it for couple of minutes and i start feeling this feeling.

Maybe and I’m not judging you only adding a possibility to the discussion, you realize deep down that looks are superficial, per se and not the most important thing in finding a wife or Godly woman. Maybe your conflict comes from either not wanting to just judge or like based on looks and little else or it could be that your feeling a little guilt because you do not want to value physical beauty over more important qualities to God.

I don’t know your personal situation so just throwing some throughts out there.

I wrote all the details of person i want and I asked God.What i asked is not just looks yes that girl i imagine while asking she is beautiful girl,but at the same time i seen a good personality,christian girl,nice,positive friendly.I don't like girls that behave like party girls

How do you know all these details of a girls personal qualities and morals from an Instagram photo?

I guess that is why I brought up the attractiveness piece which is the focus on an app like Instagram

Well you can't know much only if you would speak with her more or you can see anyway from a person,his pictures how he behaves.If she takes half naked body photos,drinking,clubbing you can say pretty much about a person. I don't look online anymore ,but i used to... But then where to look? I used to use online dating it's even more pointless you get 0 response because girls get 100mails a day.

This is not pointed towards you but in general I find people who use instagram to be materialistic and vane. I mean its really what its about. Posting pictures every day of yourself doing the things you do. Then again I'm not into pictures so maybe thats why I don't understand.

But back on topic I'd just stop using it. It seems most times I see it (like when my wife is on it) its always women posting "sexy" type pictures. Or pics of themselves getting drunk...etc.

I wasn’t judging you. I was just saying maybe Instagram is not the best for finding out about a girl. That’s all.

It sounds like you're using it to scratch the itch of loneliness. There are other, worse ways of scratching it. Don't get started on those if you haven't.
