Just interested in where the CF Reformers go to church. Which Reformed denomination does the church you attend belong to? Are you a member? Why did you chose this denomination?

I'm relatively new to Reformed churches. I've been to a CRC and RCA in Michigan, I've been attending a PCA in New York, and now am moving back to MI and will need to find a new church.

I voted "Other" as we are non-denominational. Though there are significant similarities between what we teach and Reformed Baptist. (Our church was originally Regular Baptist about 30 years ago)

Still, we don't officially belong to any denomination.

I was raised in a Dutch Reformed Church, and my church membership is still technically there, although, we have now moved from Michigan to Arizona...and Dutch Reformed Churches seem not to exist down here...So, I currently attend a non-denominational church, while trying to retain all of my Dutch Reformed-ness.

Depending on what area of MI you're moving back to, look for a United Reformed Church. The URC is the denom that formed from many of the congregations that split from the CRC.

Unfortunately, I am not attending a "reformed" church, although there may be some who are. My chruch emphasizes sharing the Gospel through preaching/teaching, and meeting the needs of the community. We use the Upwards Basketball program to make an opportunity to share the gospel with parents and children. My pastor is not shy on the issue of hell.

is there a good place to read about the what and why about the different denominations? why they split, what sets them apart from the others, etc.

I remember going to a Baptist, a Pentecostal, and a Non-Denom church as a youngster, but haven't regularly attended anywhere since.

Any idea what their disagreements were with the CRC which caused the split? I know next to nothing about the CRC, except that they're a Dutch Reformed denomination, and that in GR where I'll be living, the CRC is by far the largest denomination. There doesn't appear to be any CRC members here in Semper Reformanda according to the poll.

I'm involved in a Southern Baptist congregation. Our senior pastor isn't a 5-pointer, but he does good exegesis and preaches Truth, so it's good. Our other staff members are reformed, and the youth pastor teaches reformed theology in the youth group.

My family belongs to a PCA church, but we moved a view months back and have been attending a near by Lutheran church (Missouri Synod). It is a good conservative church, but Lutheran is not Reformed. I have a number of doctrinal issues with the LCMS, but they are great people to worship with.

We are not sure what we are going to do about a church home just yet.

Coram Deo,
Kenith
