Hi,
So George W Bush Jnr is on a talk show some time in connection with his presidency and they ask him "Which philosopher do you most admire?" and he simply answers:
"Christ".
Now, I don't know about you, but when I think of what inspires of my interest in philosophy (and let's face it, philosophy is never more than an interest in philosophy) the last thing I think of is "Christ", but when I think of what inspires my interest in other ideas besides philosophy, my first thought is "Christ". So what's going on here? Or more importantly, what inspires you?
What philosophical concept have you come across, that most inspires thoughts about other philosophical concepts? What gets you outside the box the quickest? Is it the matrix? Is it Zeno's paradox? Some combination of the two? How exactly do you get philosophical momentum, if there is such a thing? And is "Christ" a philosopher? Or is that cheating?
Like if I say "What's in the box?" and you say "Something Christ knows" are you playing the game or are you playing with me?
Really, you aren't just interested in "one" philosophical idea, are you? Doesn't anything relate them, one to another? And if something relates one philosophical idea to another, is it really philosophical?
Thanks.
