Which group do Christians hate more, Christians of other denominations/churches or non-Christians?

Anyone who has real hatred in their heart, could not be a Christian. The two concepts are mutually exclusive.

However, not being a Christian would be worse than being a Christian in a bad church.

Such an insightful and fair question!! It really cuts right to the core of everything! And it shows such open-minded honesty of a person really desiring to engage in meaningful dialog!

Gosh, if it didn't take away from my time to hate Christians in other denominations and those unspeakably awful non-Christians, I'd really like to stay and see what other insightful questions are posed. Gotta go! Ta ta!

[Though rarely, sometimes sarcasm just seems to be the best way... :) ]

The question was worded EXTREMELY poorly and as I read it now has no real meaning.

Thank you everyone who responded and I do apologize for putting up such an awful question.

People here always seem quite bright and well read such a terrible question is unworthy or your honest and well thought responses.

In future I will need to ask legitimate, well thought questions so I and/or others can learning something from them. This one no one can gain any better understanding of anything.
Leah71, such a kind response to my snarky sarcasm makes me wish I had not written it. I apologize and hope you will not hold it against me. You demonstrated the heart of the proverb "A soft answer turns away wrath" (Even though I think they don't have the same emotion, I'm lumping snarky sarcasm under wrath.) Finally, thank you.

seekingsolcae, Yes the question was asked with a bad motivation. I do withdraw the question as it serves no purpose. I apologize for trying to use the 'question' to cause discord. That is wrong.
Thank you for being honest about the intention. I know it's not the easiest thing to retract.

i used to hate, Leah, even as a Christian. Christians aren't perfect. but God was inexplicably gracious to me and put something in my heart that would've never been there otherwise:

forgiveness (of those who hurt, wounded, and damaged me horribly).

It began with my mother who was hurtful in soooo many ways. I hated her. But God stepped in. He put in my heart a "forgiveness" of her, for she was unable to ask for it.

Would you like to read what i wrote? It's a very brief account of how God worked in my heart.

And thank you for being so honest and forthright.

I'm hoping you missed a comma in this remark. I'm assuming it should read: I used to hate, Leah, even as a Christian. The added comma makes a world of difference to what you wrote.

Selah.

Yes, i meant to put a comma there......of COURSE i did not mean that i hate Leah.....i'll correct it, and thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Done. Now if you would be so kind as to correct it in the quote of mine that you posted. I would most appreciate it.

Thank you kindly.

Well, now that we've got all the apologies over with :), I actually think there's value to the question.

I'm a Christian, but I will admit to feelings of hatred at times, like when I observe certain public figures who traffic in smug arrogance and lies, and who lead the nation astray. But it's about what they say and do and the condition of their souls; it never goes to the level of hating their souls themselves. I don't wish evil on them. I don't wish hell on them. As improbable as their repentance seems to me, that is what I would ask for.

Jude speaks to this when he says
But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,
keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
And have mercy on those who doubt;save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.

First, we need to keep ourselves in the love of God. Then we need to exercise discernment to hate the sin but love the sinner.

And it is an exercise. Paul speaks to this in Ephesians, where he says
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.

Sometimes anger is justified, but if we hold onto it it festers.

So if Christians seem to be unloving at times, some of it may be appropriate (see Mt 23, for instance), and some of it may be due to us being humans on our way to maturity.
