  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Since its summer time. thought this would be an interesting topic.
Do you prefer to swim in an outdoor pool or in a lake?
Each have their advantages and disadvantages.

For me personally, I prefer to swim at the lake, but pools are ok too.
About once a week, I go to the lake near me, where there is a beach there with a swimming area.
The swimming area has a dock you can jump off (but not dive off)..the water at the end of the dock is about 7 feet deep.
You can also swim out the edge of the swimming area (rope) where the water is 10 feet deep.
I bring my goggles and swim underwater (where it is 10 feet deep) and love it.
Yet some people tell me, they do not like swimming in deep lake water (even at a beach), that it is scary.

What about you?

I like to swim in lakes and at the beach. Going deep underwater is fun, can hold my breath for a while. I have seen lots of fish and stuff, but kelp and seaweed do creep me out. My favorite spot is a rocky beach on Santa Catalina Island, California. Where there are tons of fish and clear water.
