Nope, many have seen his form. See above.
Nope, many have seen his form. See above.
It says Not.
I've worked with blind people.
They say they see things as well.
There is only one type of invisible. There are many types of "seeing."
That's why you must refute the invisible verses first.
God the Father is only invisible in the sense that you can't just go somewhere and see him but if you are in his presence like many of the scriptural examples I have provided (and you ignored) then one can very much see him.
Yes, after death, in the next life, we will "see His face."
But currently, He does not experience time.
Naturally.
20 But He said, "You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!"
Skywriting,Naturally.
20 But He said, "You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!"
Skywriting,
God did not say "I have no face".
You say that, but God did not say that. God said "My Face", several times, but He never said that He has no face.
Now we are talking about Persons in YHWH, and though the Holy Spirit manifests in forms [fire, cloud, etc], He has no "body"; but the One image who sits on the thone in heaven who is called "The Father", and "God the Word", and the "Son of Man in heaven", and the "Great Glory", whose image Adam was made in, has a form, a body of glory.
Exodus 33:
17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. 18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. 19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. 20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. 21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: 23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
Skywriting,
God did not say "I have no face".
LOOL I'm sorry I know this is old but this is hilarious coming from the ex JW.
It is my understanding of the Scriptures that everything in the realm in which we live, which would be from the farthest star to the smallest atomic structure, is only about 6,000 years old.
When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. No, the scriptures never gave you that idea.
How old was Adam as described in scripture?
How old was Eve as described in scripture?
How old was The Garden as described in scripture.
How old were the animals brought for Adam to name as described in scripture.
How old was the dirt in the garden as described in scripture.
Was there anything in Genesis that suggested anything was one week old?
Perhaps a math oriented monk added numbers together and it all totaled
some impossible to replicate number. But scripture doesn't "work" like that.
How old was Adam first described in scripture? When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth.
