where in the old testament does God command all of humanity to keep his Sabbath rest?

Correct; but incomplete. There are numerous ways to sin under the New Covenant.

Jesus said the church replaced Israel and Paul said it in a round about way.

Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Matt 21:43

Again you are looking at it incorrectly.

The kingdom was taken from those individuals who rejected him. And yes, it became available to gentiles ("nations" is what that word means) who come to faith and are grafted in among the believing branches of Israel. Read Rom 11. There is no "replacing" going on here at all. Indeed, those who hold to such a position run afoul of Paul's warning in Rom 11 to not "... be arrogant against the natural branches."

Rom 11.17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; 21 for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either.

The kingdom of God is more than just a few individuals and according to Jesus it was taken away from Israel and given to a new nation that preaches the gospel of grace. In the OT, Gentiles were required to convert to Judaism to be saved. In the age of grace the Jews are required to give up their law keeping and accept Jesus as their Messiah. As usual the shadow worshippers are a sign pointing in the wrong direction.

Really? How does that square with Acts 21?
and accept Jesus as their Messiah.
Indeed we do. BUT, those 2 things are NOT mutually exclusive.

Quite a detailed study Rob. Cut and paste works well, but nonetheless the verses pointing to the sabbath are in fact referring to God's "grafted" in israel, not the literal jews, and the question didn't include a time frame.

Far too many who profess to be Christians and nail the law to the cross have no idea what the bible says about grace. Did you know that grace was given FOR OBEDIENCE? Most who say that obedience has nothing to do with salvation will be surprised on judgment day. Whole denominations have been deceiving whole congregations. It is alarming to me, and I am certain Jesus is weeping, like I do every morning when I read some of the opinions people argue to prove doctrine on here. What I am finding is that most of peoples foundation for salvation is just an opinion not a "thus saith the Lord". Sad indeed.

Just because someone doesn't have pastor priest reverend, next to their name they are not worthy to be listened to, but to argue against because their pastor priest or reverend told them different... I say this, how many disciples were chosen from God's "priesthood", who were "trained" in the schools of the prophets? MOST bible characters who took part in the actual history of the bible were lowly, even the least of the least like Gideon and David. You can count the rich, or trained bible characters on one hand Abraham, Moses, Solomon, Paul. Of these, two of them were murderers, along with David. This gives me great hope in knowing that God will use a lowly sinner like me to teach His word. To rely on a title as passage to heaven, like pastor, rev. or whatever goes against all biblical principles. ALL Christians need to do what Paul commended the Bereans to do and that is to go and study to see if what he said is true. The people during the days of Jesus and the disciples followed the pharisees too, just like the "followers" today following the pharisees. The disciples had the same advantages we have today, except on Pentecost when the Holy Spirit gave them power, which many are waiting on to receive power from the latter rain. But again people are waiting for something they will never have because if we are not living up to all the light we have we will not receive the latter rain. If we do not receive the latter rain we will be lost because we are not living up to the light we have which shields us from the deceptions that the church falls under who rise up against the latter rain and call it fanaticism. This is where many in the SDA denomination will fall off and those in other denominations will take their place because they are living up to the light they have, and are willing to move on in their study of God's word instead of staying stuck in the rut of denominational traditional doctrine.
