  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just got off the phone with my kid brother—he’s a freshman in H.S. now and is already talking about college! He was asking me all sorts of questions about how much it cost and what are the requirements and jr. college vs. state universities…. It seems like just yesterday I was dropping him off at Pre-K! *sniff* they grow up so fast.

aww...Im not a parent but I have an older sister and she is going off to college in 8 days and it seems like yesterday she was in 9th grade and I was in 7th and she helped me out so much and showed me around and now she is 18, almost 19 and I am 16, almost 17 and now she is going off to college in 8 days and I start 11th grade in 11 days. I will miss her!
