Now, before you continue on reading this issue I have at the moment, be aware that it is NOTHING worse than the amount of threads I have read on this site, but some helpful insight will DEFINITELY be appreciated by myself.
Okay, so a few months ago, I had an issue with my back pain and other problems. It was around the time when I stopped running. I have been a long distance runner in highschool, and since I graduated I haven't been running as frequently, which I feel that I just became too lazy and wouldn't make the time out of my schedule to get my 7-10 mile runs done. After I had months of this pain, I made a promise to God that if he made me healthy again, I would be sure to run 5 days out of the week depending on my status of health.
Well, I have no pain anymore and I been keeping up with my promise for quite sometime. I went home this weekend(college kid), and realized that when I returned this evening I left my running shoes at home. My mom said she'd mail them to me tomorrow morning. However, this WILL interfere with my running schedule, and I'm sadden to say that I won't be able to keep my promise with God.(unless I find another shoe store that sells the same brand of 195$ pair). :/
PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING: please don't advise me to run in my normal shoes or buy another cheap pair, because to us long distance runners, using the same pair of shoes for running months on end is VERY sacred to us. If I were to try and break in a new type of running shoes that my knees weren't adjusted to, MORE problems will arise, and I have experience with this issue back in my highschool career.
I know it seems REALLY frivolous and pathetic of me to bring this to your attention, but I'd like some humble advice from some fellow Christians of mine(whether I know you in person or not). I just don't want God to be disappointed in me when I reach those pearly gates. :/
