Genesis recounts no creation of these things, as they are now recognized by science as being neither animals nor plants.... so who made them and when?
Excuse me, but uh, do we care where it came from?

Well, apparently there's this stuff lying around all over the place that didn't come from God, and sure seems to be the product of evolution, so yes, where did it come from? I care!!
Didn't come from God? Do you have any evidence it existed when God created, or that it did not? You've raised a completely pointless issue.

sin!

everything God made was good.

when man sinned, there goes the good God had made.

Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Gen 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Gen 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

Gen 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Gen 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Gen 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

have you ever considered that our classifications of things are a recent invention?

The fact the scriptures do not talk about virus' or other things is pointless.... the bible does not say God created oxygen, but the fact we are having this conversation clearly shows He did (assuming you believe God created) and I would say that's the real question at hand.

But the Bible goes into detail about how God created the different kinds of life (well some of them anyway) at different points.... but it seems to showing faulty human ignorance in failing to describe the origin of the microbiotic non-plant, non-animal life.... God may be infallible, but the book is not showing God's hand there....

the bible does not describe hiesenberg's uncertainty principle or quantum dynamics.....does this make it faulty or lack God's hand - of course not...

the bible does not say that people were born with a brain, but we know they have one - now if you want to argue whether God exists, or whether the scriptures are by the finger of God be my guest... but one thing is for sure (if you believe the scriptures) - it is faith the both pleases and saves.

If your scepticism is carried through to its logical conclusion you may as well die now.
