  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Where did he go?

My classmate's dad was an Orthodox Rabbi. He didn't believe in Lord Y'shua. Matter of fact he was an anti-missionary. He died couple days ago. Where did he go? Mom says he went to heaven cause G-d can't destroy the Jewish people because of His promise. Dad says he went to hell because he didn't believe in Lord Y'shua. Both use the Bible to prove it. Dunno what to make of it. Can you help? Thanx!

Shalom LittleJew,

Your mom is quite right, HaShem is eternally bonded to the Jewish people with a covenant made at Mount Sinai. He would never destroy his covenant people especially when Yeshua taught for those who were lagging to follow the Torah and blinded those who do from knowing him.

Shalom and G-d bless

I'd like to give you the answer you are looking for, but in all honesty, I really don't know.

I think some folks would agree with your mom, and others would agree with your dad.

The only TRUTH I can give you is this...God is always right. He will do what is right. He is the one who decides, and He always decides right. Wherever, this rabbi ended up, it was the RIGHT place. And, wherever he ended up, he KNOWS it's the right place.

Trust the Lord to choose what's best. No one loved this man more than He did/does. If there is any way for this rabbi to have gone to heaven, the Lord would have found it.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help to you...maybe someone else here has the answer you seek.

Blessings,

Shade

Could you provide the proofs they used?

thanks,

Mom quotes Deuteronomy 4:31, Deuteronomy 31:6-8, 1 Kings 6:13, Isaiah 41:17 to show that G-D will not forsake his people. She says 2 Ti 2:13 also applies to the Jews. Mom says it makes no sense to use 2 Ti 2:13 to say we cannot lose our salvation but conclude that Israel has lost its salvation. She cites Romans 11 and the fact that if Israel is still G-D's chosen people then G-D cannot throw them in hell. What she says makes perfect sense to me. But if she's right then why would we need to preach Yeshua to other Jews? Dad quotes Jo 3:16-18 and all the other verses that show Yeshua as the only way (I'm sure everyone knows them all). Both use the Bible to prove their points. Who is right? I think this is the most important question I have ever come across in my entire life.
