God did not craft me, directly, out of earth. Rather I was produced through the fusion of my parents gametes, resulting in a fertilized egg that became a zygote. If God can create you and me in His image through the completely natural processes of sexual reproduction, then why can't He do the same with our ancestors? Why can't He use the natural processes and mechanisms of evolution to create, produce, and fructify this world; bearing in it a particular sort of erect-standing ape who, distinct from his/her predecessors, is able to reflect upon itself and the world in which it lives. Why must this be any more a prohibition on our being created in the image of God than the natural mechanisms and processes that directly produced you and me within the womb?

Christians who claim to have seen heaven all say we have bodies (renewed) and that we do not age. They all recognize the bodies, though.

Christianity teaches that there is a resurrection of the body on the last day. The body that is you, that will one day perish because it is mortal flesh, will lay in the earth and decay. But on the last day it will be raised up, immortal.

The original Latin reads carnis resurrectionem. The Greek translation, likewise, has σαρκος ανάστασιν (sarkos anastasin). That is, "resurrection of [the] flesh". It is this solid, tangible, flesh-and-tissue body of matter that is destined for eternity in the Age to Come.

Anyone who claims they "saw heaven" and people with "bodies in heaven" simply have nothing relevant to say as far as Christianity is concerned.

"Going to heaven" isn't the Christian hope. The Christian hope is the renewal and restoration of all things begun in Christ, into which we have been baptized, and toward which we hope. That is, "a new heavens and a new earth", resurrection of the body, the restoration of the whole of creation.

The Imagio Dei likely shouldn't be understood as form, but rather as function.

In the narrative of Genesis 1 God is constructing a cosmos that is shaped and filled with order. The final work is the creation of man, to be the Divine Image-bearer. It is man's function in creation, to reflect and bear that image within creation.

I think it clearly can't mean our physical form, as the Deity has no form. I also don't know exactly what it would mean to say our "souls"; principally because the notion of "soul"--Hebrew nephesh--isn't the Platonic ghost in the shell, but the breath of life that demarcates the difference between a living thing and an non-living corpse. It is that nephesh that, in Genesis 2, makes the difference between a lump of inert earth, and an animated human person. Later uses of "soul" may approximate the Platonic soul, or more likely the Greek concept of shades; particularly in biblical depictions of She'ol as a sort of nebulous place of near non-existence.

Well, more and more humans are being born without wisdom teeth. In Africa we're seeing a steady growth in the number of people immune to developing AIDs. Since those who were born with mutations that make them immune to the disease are outliving many who were not born with such mutations.

They're not big changes, but what can you expect from a mere 5,000 years?

THIS is the single most stupid thing I have ever read.

1. Buddha originated in India.
2. India was already well within recorded history by the time Siddharta Gautama (a.k.a. the Buddha) came around.
3. The Chinese had thousands of years of recorded history before they even learned there was such a thing as Christianity, and when Christian missionaries arrives, well: let's just say they were sufficiently unimpressed.

I don't know. I can't predict the future of human natural selection. My guess is that human genetic technology could supplant natural selection to some extent.

Evolution is an idea with not much proof regarding transformation of one species to another.

One more thing ; human history is constantly reviewed by archaelogical evidence. the last found evidence puts human beings around 200000 years back and not 6000 years.
