Looks like many "Semper Reformanda - Reformed" members are not coming back. This place have been very very quiet lately.

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I haven't noticed that things have been quiet too - but am chalking it up to the fact that a lot of students post here - and it is the end of the school year.
Lots going on in GT though - if you want to face that fray.

I have a tiny fixer-upper house & a huge yard, so every spring the Chore Assaut is launched with progressively less shock & awe. My art production job gets busier as well, keepin' my "guns" heavily tasked as it is.
I've been enjoyin readin' UMP & some of the others, too.
Plenty to feed on just lurkin'. Reassuring just to have it to return to.

I'm at that phase where I'm lurking alot, but not posting much. That 2 week fast sort of cured me of the need to be on CF alot. I still stop by, but just don't care to participate as much as I had.
Besides, with summer coming on, life's gotten pretty busy. I'm out of the house a lot more now

The fast was an eye opener for me as well.
I'm with Otto, it's been nice reading UMP's posts. I used to see him over in GA when I was spending time with the hard hearted. It's nice to get to know him better here, where one can let their hair down.

I'm still around. I've never been a frenetic poster. Also, I am still getting my life in order after a harrowing school year. I do miss the folks who haven't been around lately.
Ouch, what a loss for us. I really liked him.
Actually, I find I really like the EOs on CF. They're kind of a refreshing bunch.

um, not that anyone cares lol, but as I read the CF rules, I noticed that I wasn't supposed to be posting here since I have a non denominational symbol.
So I kinda cooled it w/ posting here in case my participation got reported.
It's hard for me to understand what I can & can't say in another denom. area.
Even tho I consider myself compliant with reformed beliefs.
I think everyone in this area is really great & I've always felt welcomed here!
