some of the questions should have had a "no opinion" option..

I agree. I think mine was a bit skewed because I had to make a choice that did not represent what I really believed.

I don't like that particular political test because it puts me right with John McCain and somehow has George W. Bush as further to the right than me. It doesn't help that the questions are leaded to move people further to the left if people just take them at face value.

And just because I was passing through...
For one, I find the 'test' somewhat...lacking. It provides the options of only positive and negative responses, while ignoring the possibility of ambivalence. As well, many of the questions appear designed purely to provoke a response rather than gauge the pure opinion of the individual on those issues.

But I did it anyways (and I tend to get the same answer each time, roughly - and I see this silly thing all over the place):
Economic Left/Right:4.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.87

I fall into that category of "I don't care what you do, so long as it doesn't hurt people" as well as the "get your hands off my money/business/market" - I tend to be more right-leaning economically in general, odd outcome this time around.

Not sure how you got this to paste, but here's link to my score (I think):

Not sure about some of the questions. Don't think I'm that far to the left economically, but I did figure I would hang around the middle, which is in line to my thinking that no manmade ideology is perfect.

I don't completely agree with the results but I figured I would be more towards the middle with the questions they asked. I have my own set of questions at www.ideasoftim.blogspot.com. On the side you see three "page" choices. One is for political power, one is on economic power, and the third is used for comparison.
