Where are you, in your walk with Christ?

I was saved 13 years ago, but I never even really tried to become spiritually mature or learn what I should. As a result, I backslid and stayed in that state for many years. I've just recently come back to the Lord, and I'm trying to "do it right" this time. I feel I would most accurately describe myself as a new Christian then. Where are you, on your walk?

I would say that I'm a maturing Christian. My growth has been in various rated over the course of my life. Most recently, God has really started to work in my life ove rthe pase few years.

Get a good pair of shoes.

I'd be glad to help in any way I can. Remember though, that there are many denominations and beliefs represented at CF. Not all are Christian.

The best place to learn and grow as a Christian is the local church. That and reading and studying the Bible.

I am that older person that had to learn everything the hard way. I can testify that if a person obeys God and keeps as clean and pure as they are able, nothing bad can touch them and God will use them as His vessel. If not, and they do as I did and test every boundary, expect many stripes, as God does chastise His beloved. Many don't understand how His "rod" giveth comfort, but I do. Keep yourself from knowing how the rod of correction can be a comfort.

Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Luke 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Just 3 weeks ago I became a Christian, I thought I was a Christian before, but I sure didn't act the part. I realized my mistakes, and repented. My life has changed so much in 3 weeks its truly amazing. And its true about Satan attacking once he cant have you anymore, because I have had some panic attacks lately that really take a toll on me. But NOW I have control of them, as soon as I feel them comming on, I pray that the Holy Sprit fills me and leaves no room for that Filthy spirit, and you know what? It works every time.
