I often hear of all the great and wonderful things, supernatural things, that God has/does do overseas when it comes to miracles. I often hear of missionaries testifying of the great and wonderful things they have seen, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that has asked where are the miracles, but that's not the direction I wanna take this thread. I'm sure most of us KNOW that God is able, but we need to hear it too, with real, tangible, events, lives, people from the CF community that we have known for awhile. (Yeah, I know I'm a newbie, so obviously I'm not talking about me personally, this is just something I felt being led to do.) SO, tell us your miracle. Tell us the awesome, unbelievable, unimaginable things that God has done in your life. Oh, and please, I know this may offend some people, but none of this "we're all a miracle, I feel like a butterfly post, ok? Not to be rude, I'm not asking for a circus here, just genuine...acts of God. Miracles, in your life.

Amen.

It never even occurred to me, that 10 minutes later, that if I mean to ask people personal, real experiences, that I should probably give one of my own. (sorry) So, I'll start with my most powerful one. I was 15, and in the occult, and I was messing with tarot cards. I was picked on immensely in high school, and i just wanted to be left alone, so I got into things I obviously shouldn't have.

One night, I felt this presence in my room, and I saw this cowled figure at the foot of my bed. It had red eyes inside the hood, and I knew, KNEW somewhere inside me that this thing was the essence of malice, and death. And just so everyone here knows that this isn't the imagination of a 15 year old boy, I physically pinched myself to make sure I was awake...and I was awake.

God safely brought me out of the occult, with the help of my grandmother. After I was delivered, God granted me a very powerful sense of discernment, and I needed that in my life at that time, it was like a security blanket/ sense of justification for me to show ME that God is real, moreso than what I saw that night, and that HE still does great things today. God hasn't stopped being powerful after the last book of the bible was written, and he isn't limited to doing miraculous things in other countries and not here. HE IS AS REAL AS WE WILL LET HIM BE IN OUR LIVES and that is my miracle. Not the only one, but definately the most personal in my life.

God bless.

Well, ok. It's not a huge miracle, but it is mind-boggling. I've been praying for a raise at work in conjunction to a certain qualification that takes a long time to process (it's been over 2 years). Anyway, we also decided to buy the house we were praying for. I wanted to wait until I got my raise before getting the house so the mortgage wouldn't be such a crunch, but we needed to act soon before the interest rates crept up.

One day, a visiting preacher came to our church and talked about keeping a prayer journal and how some amazing things that happened in his life as a result of consistent prayer. (I'd go into detail later if you wish, but suffice to say, i was impressed). Since my prayer life was anything but consistent, I decided maybe i ought to start a prayer journal of my own. So I got a composition book and jotted down all the things on our hearts, including the raise, and started praying daily.

Four days later, the qualification was approved and I got the raise. And this happened just before our first mortgage payment. Isn't God good?

Since then there have been other answered prayers in my journal that are pretty remarkable. Mind you, I'm not advocating "name it and claim it", but I think God does answer prayers acording to our needs.
