  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

For those of you who have been saved where were you? What led to it? How did you feel? Did you cry? Did you feel your burdens lift?

My pastor once said he didn't want those of us who are still lost to leave until we were kneeled at the...think it's called a ?prayer bench? Until we were bawling our eyes out. Something like that he just made it clear we should have tears rolling down.

Is that true or was he exaggerating? I've went to the prayer alter and I've tried crying out and praying but it felt weird and 'forced' maybe a bit 'faked' like I was faking it and not feeling it.maybe I just felt shy? Uncomfortable? Embarrassed? Idk I just didn't feel salvation.

Everyone has a different experience. I feel like he was over exaggerating. When the alter call came, I felt super drawn to go to the alter, and when I prayed I had an awesome peace over me. Some people do cry, and some people have even have visions, but like I said, it all depends on the person. Perhaps I was just too macho to cry. Eh *Shrugs.*

The "alter call" comes from the Holy Spirit. HE makes you aware of Jesus and His Promise. He provides the Faith to believe. You exercise that Faith when you confess Jesus as Savior, Romans 10:8-13. The surety of your confession is found in Romans 8:1. You can do that now. Listen: it is the Holy Spirit opening up the Path to eternal security. Be blessed as you make that confession! Praying for you, praying that your seeking has come to a close in His Embrace.

The amount of emotion people show isn't necessarily evidence for or against their salvation. Based on personality, some people may show very little emotion, others may show a great deal. What is important is that we continue in faith, even when God feels distant. The Psalms explore this theme.

When I was 21 I rededicated my life to God after having been
saved and backsliding, and felt such a sadness confessing my sins to God
I just cried and cried my little eyes out,but afterwards felt such a joy and peace in my heart it was amazing.
