When will we be devoured?

Death!
The blood of a innocent victim dripping from the bloody knife,
Cold bodies lying in basements frozen to the world of above,
Men like eages ready to shed the blood of another,
Women like tigers ready to slaughter there pray.
Scream!
Black, evil thoughts flood they're mind like water in a waterfall.
Are there evil influences part of a childhood trauma?
we need to ask this question?
Is this world safe enough To walk upon?
Or are we just food to feed the devilish fantasy of a twisted mind?

Absolutely, you should write more! On the surface some might be put off by the violence and disturbing imagery, but that IS the world we live in and fear is something we fight every day. I think you've taken seriously disturbing subject matter,(serial killings, mass murder, terrorism, fetus snatchings, etc.) and condensed it into a thought provoking piece of prose, and you were so young! Great job of expressing these deep feelings. We all have them whether or not we want to admit it. Just remember what God tells us (more than 800 times in the Bible, I think), "Fear not!"

I agree with Woman of Faith. This is reality. It is also why we are so blessed to be in the world, but not of it.
I personally think that sometimes it takes portraying reality for what it is before we realize how much we do need the One True Light, Jesus, to light our path and deliver us from evil. I think your poem reflects the sad truth of the unsaved world.
