When will the world end?

I was just wondering what peoples' opinons were; we can obviously never know...and I possibly have too much time on my hands, but what do you think? Are you in with the view the we're close, or are we nowhere near?

Someone in the forums here thinks we're already part way through the end! He's made a little agenda for God this year, culminating in Jesus return in November/December time!....And I think he was serious Ah, you gotta love imagination.

I voted Don't know....cuz I honestly can't be sure! However, I'd like to thin that it'll happen in my lifetime, so my second guess would have been in 50 years.

But....Surely Christ will return and make all things new so.....We are taking that to be 'the end' at least of things as they are now.

LOL. I remember some kid in my 6th grade class who thought we would all be using buggys and street cars and it would all look like 1900. Then there were a ton of other people that were all worried, but my dad-he knows a lot about computers and stuff-said it would all be ok. So i got in this big debate with these guys. But yeah, I (well, ok, my dad) was right!

They fixed that though It wasn't Y2K that was going to do that, it was really Peak Oil all the time . . .

I could have voted "Don't know, silly question", and that would have been accurate - but I felt silly, so I voted 100 years. I wouldn't be shocked to see the end of the world near the end of my lifetime, but expect that it will probably be longer. But things are definately heading towards a major conflict between the secular / Christian / religious worlds at the very least. Hopefully a peaceful one
