  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm going to be 40 in October and we haven't conceived. It didn't help that I didn't marry until age 30 and we both agreed we didn't support going into debt for IVF.

Nothing is discernably "wrong" with our health, besides both our weights being in the obese category. However, both of us eat well and healthy, at home. We probably need to be more physically active due to desk job.

Each month for the last two years has just been a little bit more of a let down.

I know that the Lord's will is guiding all things, but sometimes it doesn't feel that way.

If anyone has any encouragement or advice for this time of acceptance, I would love to hear it.

If you are obese that can affect your fertility. My suggestion is to lose weight and try to be more active. Watch your ovulation times and leave it in God’s hands. I would not go for IVF either. Not because of the cost but the ethical issues involved in the procedure.

we have heard of people who adopt and then go on to have babies conceived after adopting.

yes, people said that to us "now you'll get pregnant"

adopting was not a lesser choice to becoming a family
it was an awesome choice
