Sorry to double post, but being raised Catholic most of my life, with family on both sides being Catholic...not sure if it'll be a challenge dating someone who is a non-religous, non-denom Christian?

This is where things kind of get hazy for me when it comes to deciphering this as its a bit contradictory in nature? Here we have all these religions, but then some people just say, "No, I'm Christian...that's it!"

It's almost like saying that those who follow a particular religions aren't Christian?

It seems like semantics though. To me it's potato, poe-tah-to.

You can follow a religion, and still be Christian

A religion is not a bad thing unless it makes you accept a lie to be the truth (through deception or blind denial of things that challenge one's faith).

However from my perspective who is formerly denominational Christian, knows the Bible through and through extensively and now as an "outsider", I can say that Christianity has all the marks of a religion.

Christianity shares the same quality with Freemasonry having all the marks of religion but in constant denial of it.

Anyway, nowadays, I no longer find religion to be a major hurdle or enabler in relationships. I'd date an Atheist if she has warm and kind heart over a Christian who is disrespectful and harsh to other people.

I've been with Christians all my life. There's usually just two types of Christians or people. The warm and kind ones and the harsh ones. A harsh Christian is one to be avoided like your life depended on it. These are the ones very prone to inflicting emotional abuse.

Nailed it! Shoot, even Atheists are tempting, but I don't think I'd go that far. lol. But I understand you completely.
I've dated sweet, kind and agnostic women though. What you described is what really matters.

All people can be sweet and kind during a date.

Spend enough time with someone, any bad behavior if there is will come out eventually. Especially pay attention to how they treat the "little people" (low income group), if they complain often, how they treat their parents, how they treat their close relatives.

It is semantics. And it's poor semantics, if you ask me.

My approach to dating someone who said that is to affirm my belief in Ephesians 2:8-9, before explaining why I view religion as a good thing, and why I believe that is the Biblical way to look at it.

I know some divorcees with similar thinking and end up marrying someone attending the same church who turns out to be the devil!

Don't be lazy in discerning people or spirits. It can make or destroy you!

People wonder why those who dated a lot tend to have better luck in their choice of spouse? Over-time they became real good at discerning people. Fortunately, you don't need to do lots of dates to learn how to discern. Simply be an astute observer of humanity!
