What are the important attributes of the candidates.

Much like several of trumps past hires I don't understand many of this years batch. So I wonder, should experience and knowledge be considered or is loyalty to Trump the oklynimportant consideration.

Also is loyalty to the president more important than loyalty to the constitution or the country?

I noticed this too and my guess is he's surrounding himself with people he feels he trusts. In his first term, there were several Republicans who didn't like him and worked counter.

Ability. Or the dreaded m-word that so many profess to not believe in.

I would consider the job they intend to do may be less obvious than you realize. Does his Secretary of Defense make sense? Perhaps....if the road to good defense is seen as destroying all semblance of DEI, root and stem, at the start. I don't really know.

No...but you do need to understand people have practical considerations. For at least the last 3 years....we would have all been better off if everyone in the federal government and legislative branch admitted what was plain to see....

Biden's cognitive decline made him completely unfit for the job. He was a rubber stamp they protected for their benefit....not yours. If your benefit was their primary concern....I'd say Biden would have been removed mid 22 at the latest. Like...post mid-term elections.

So, basically, are you suggesting that we hire the alligators to run the swamp?

So now we are concerned about experience, background, and knowledge?

After the Democrats put up a literal DEI hire with no legislative record, minimal congressional experience, and a disastrous record as VP? A woman who either would not, or could not, answer even basic policy questions?

and this is after the Democrats tried to keep Biden in office, well after they realized he had dementia?

and don't even get me started about Rachel Levine

yes, we should care about experience, record, talent, etc. --and it is one reason we are moving away fro the clown-show that has been going for 4 years

If you did you'd care about who Trump is putting in place abou the actual day to day decision making.

Ps. Your critique of Harris is laughable considering Trump was utterly devoid of those things when he was elected the first time.

In 2016, Trump had been a successful business man. Yes, he was a political outsider with no legislative experience

Harris doesn't know a thing about business or economics, and not much about running a state or country either. It wasn't simply that she had little-to-no experience: she was downright stupid, as evidenced by the things she said, questions she couldn't answer, etc. She had absolutely no business being considered for high office, and the American voters responded to the idea accordingly.

I do not agree with all of Trump's appointments, but we will see how it pans out

remember when we had the supply-chain crisis which was worsening inflation and causing chaos, and the guy Biden appointed as Transportation Secretary was out on "maternity leave"?

or the terrific job Anthony Blinken is doing to get peace in the ME.

Biden's cabinet was a joke. Let's hope Trump's is at least somewhat better
