  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal:
The Lord knows those who are His, and,
Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

iniquity-[G93] adikia=unrighteousness
Does a believer depart from unrighteousness by learning about sin, or how to walk by faith?
The righteousness of faith defines sin in the simplest of terms, lest there be anyone who
thinks they can take this lightly, as this is a high priority for a healthy Body.

Romans 14:
21 It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do
anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.
22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God.
Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith;

for whatever is not from faith is sin.

If this is true for eating, it is true of every decision, every act that will effect the lives of others, and their relationship with the Lord.
Is to not offend others a primary trespass in the eyes of the Lord, and in the apostolic doctrine?

James 3:
1 My brethren, be not many teachers,
knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word,
the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body
