  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When does the hair shedding stop after the post baby hormone drop? I have really long hair, and it looks like I have shag carpet in my bathroom. I am constantly cleaning up big piles of hair. The hair catch in the shower has to be cleaned about three times per shower! My hair brush three or four times while I blow dry it!

At this point it sounds like it may be more than just postpartum shedding. How is your diet? Are you getting a lot of good, healthy fats? Are you taking a multi vitamin for nursing moms (you are nursing, right?). I would suggest trying to up your healthy fat intake- Coconut oil, avocado, etc.

My diet is pretty good. I'm pumping full time and making more milk than she needs...it's hard to find the balance between no milk and way too much milk. The weight loss has slowed down (I'm at my pre-preggo weight now), and I don't feel depleted anymore.

I think this maybe normal, but the length of my hair is just making it look worse than it really is. One gob of hair plugging the drain catch maybe just five or six hairs. Does that make sense?

I am taking a vit too.

Oh heavens. I may have to get a hair cut...uggg

I did get mine cut thinking it would help but it didn't. And too mine didn't start shedding til about 3 weeks ago.

It's not so much the volume of hair loss on my head that I care so much about, but volume of hair all over everything in my house that I care about. Maggie was choking on one the other day.

llghoney-there were a few select things I couldn't eat while preggo, but that doesn't seem to be a problem now. I seriously can unhook my jaw and chow on just about anything. Okay, time for beddy-by.
