his body was somehow still in the post-crucified state that could no longer sustain life, yet, even with the injuries, was still able to live. He wasn't a zombie he was living flesh and demonstrated unique miracles that he had not demonstrated pre-crucifixion. This flesh ascended into heaven and now what do you contend? did this flesh evaporate?I contend Jesus was NOT resurrected in His Glorified Body, He was resurrected in the Self same Body that hung on the cross and Had no different supernatural powers or attributes to it than He had before the Crucifixion (save the fact it could no longer be put to death)
I don't suggest to know all the mysteries of God however what can't be denied is that Jesus spoke these words while still walking and breathing on the earth and all before the crucifixion. Whatever those words meant at the time he spoke them, with his flesh present and still very much a part of him, means the same today. And you still haven't answered my original question... When Jesus Said "when two or three are gathered in my name, THERE I AM in their Midst..." Do you contend he is there in the flesh with them?
I hear people say that Heaven is a very large planet. Ok if Heaven is a large planet then how can we go to Heaven because the gravity is going to be a lot greater? I suppose because the answer is that our body stays here on the Earth and only our Spirit & Soul goes to Heaven.I contend Jesus was not raised in His glorified Body, it was the self-same body that hung on the cross and was laid in the tomb. He Did not receive His glorified Body until Acts 1:9

Again I can't tell you how he does it, as I'm not God. But if it was true when he spoke the words while still present with body then it can still be true today. But spinning my words against me doesn't make your claim more true. What happened to Jesus resurrected flesh if he is no longer in that state? His pre-crucifixion body could walk on water and walk through hostile crowds untouched. Pretty unique miracles. To suggest that body could not have also walked through walls is unfounded.
Do you suggest His flesh is "evaporated" when He is with two or three who are gathered in His name?

I don't recalling taking about the resurrected bodies of believers or comparing them with Christ, let's try not to digress too much. Regarding the vision of John if you see Jesus currently en-fleshed with as a 7 eyed and 7 horned lamb does this not conflict with your Mat 18:20 argument as much as it would human flesh? I'm confused as to what you are defending here? If we are told that Jesus will come back the same way as he left does this not also describe his flesh or did Jesus de-clothe his flesh during the ascension then will put it back on when he returns?Yet you expect me to tell you the mechanics behind How his body was Glorified at the ascension?
It was changed into a spiritual Body, back to the one He had at the foundation of the World. I do not claim to understand the mechanics behind how.
All I do know is that His is the ONLY Human Body that was promised not to see corruption.
As our resurrected bodies are Promised to "be like His", and you believe that example to be His post resurrection-pre ascension flesh body, is it your contention that our resurrected flesh Body's will retain any wounds we may receive in death "Like Christ's Body" did?
Or will our resurrected Body's all look like this:
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. (Revelation 5:6)
Since this is an accurate depiction of Christ's Body in Heaven, how do you claim it changed from Human Form to this? Did His human Flesh Evaporate or simply morph into that of a 7 horned, 7 eyed lamb?
I never said what you quote me as saying.his body was somehow still in the post-crucified state that could no longer sustain life, yet, even with the injuries, was still able to live. I don't follow.... can you please elaborate?Regarding the vision of John if you see Jesus currently en-fleshed with as a 7 eyed and 7 horned lamb does this not conflict with your Mat 18:20 argument as much as it would human flesh?

Col 1:15 tells us "The Son is the image of the invisible God" this is a statement that was true when it was written and after Christ's ascension. It reveals to us that Jesus exists in a state that at the very least we can see. Acts 1:11 tells us he was flesh when he left and he will come back in the same way, does this describe the method only or can it be extended to flesh? Scripture often gives us broad strokes and not fine detail but those broad strokes only paint the flesh and do not show us a Christ with a discarded flesh.Just exactly where does the Bible teach you which attributes of the return will be In like manner as the entry into heaven and which (if any) will be different?

This is becoming too digressed from the OP, I started a new thread and you're welcome to add your thoughtsYet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.
John 14:19
How long would you say "the world will see me no more" lasts?
Perhaps a better account would be to determine when the "last days"/"time of the end" begin....When do these last days end? ...

Prophetic Scripture points to WWI. And following the sequence of prophecies, one should be able to determine the second part of the problem.
Interesting greek word used concerning seeing Jesus walking on the water [#5326 used only in 2 verses of the NT]His pre-crucifixion body could walk on water and walk through hostile crowds untouched. Pretty unique miracles. To suggest that body could not have also walked through walls is unfounded.

Or "the last days" started with ...
... WWI. Why WWI? Because it takes that event, which lead to the Balfour Declaration, and then to the "going forth of the word" to the Jews, and then for Ben Gurion to take a leadership role in Jewish politics, and then for the NATION OF ISRAEL.
And one we have the Nation of Israel, then we can have the Tribulation, the Return of Jesus and the Millennial Kingdom, and finally the Rapture.
It's a simple (and obvious) sequence,
DaDad
WWI began with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. I've searched the RSV for all three words, to no avail.
Have you searched for WORLD WAR I, or THE GREAT WAR, or THE WAR TO END ALL WARS?
Yeah, you won't find them in the OT either. But then again, I don't think you find "Jesus" either, and so what's your point? They're BOTH THERE, if you have eyes to see.
Thanks,
DaDad
Not even "Jesus"? Maybe your OT is flawed, because I can find them. Are you using a "Bible"?I searched for all of those. They're nowhere to be found.
