  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We couldn't wait to tell (this is our first too), so we told our close friends (about 10 people) the day we found out. We told our parents 2 days later and to the entire church the day after that!
I thought about a miscarriage too (and it could still happen), but I figure, if I do miscarry, more people will be able to lift me up in prayer.
Btw, only 15% of pregnancies end up in a miscarriage, so don't worry too much!

I'm going to tell another female friend whenever she gets around to calling me back :) I'm going to see my stepmom this weekend as well. but I'm thinking of waiting to tell until I see OBGYN for the 1st time. I took a home test and the pg was confirmed with a blood test at my regular doctor's.

I told a handful of people that I work with, close friends and parents and ILs within the first two weeks of knowing( so weeks 4-6). With every week, I told a few more people and now that I'm 11 wks 5 days, I tell everyone!! I worried about miscarriage an awful lot too in the beginning. Seriously, pray that God just gives you his peace. You can drive yourself nuts worrying...and it can't be good for baby, right?

i have only told people on the internet so far and my sister.

I won't tell anyone until we reach 12 weeks. The reason is miscarriage. I know that the more people that know the more people to pray if things go wrong but i can't get out of my mind the fact that when my sister miscarried at 12 weeks people were told but the message didnt get to everyone (you know how many people end up being told all over the contry) and someone came up to her a few weeks later and congratulated her on her pregnancy - she was devestated!

After trying for 2 years and 3 months, we told the godparents (dear Godmother told her whole family that night) right away, then my parents, then his parents, then my friends, our pastor (who didn't give a rip), then our former pastor. My mom told me not to tell the extended family til I was 8 weeks, so I was going to tell them at Christmas. It turns out my mom has a big mouth, so now everyone knows. Oh well, more people to celebrate with us! :) Yeah, when we found out only 15% of pregnancies end in miscarriage it made it a ton easier to tell people, too. :)

I've been getting lots of conflicting advice about when to tell, but my spouse isn't ready for folks to know yet, though he was excited for my to tell my 2 best friends. So I told them. I may wait until my 1st doc appointment which is Jan. 5th, though I'll be 8 weeks on Christmas day and I'm itching to tell someone!

It's especially difficult because I've been having quite a bit of morning sickness. I feel maybe I should at least tell my boss, who is also a very good friend. Of course, then he'd tell his wife :)

Miscarriage is common. About 1 out of 4 women who become pregnant has a miscarriage at some point in her lifetime.1 Of all diagnosed pregnancies, between 15% and 20% end in a miscarriage in the first trimester or early in the second trimester.1 It is also common for a pregnancy to miscarry so early that a woman does not even know that she is pregnant.
