we have a pea-souper outside

traffic is slowed-down on the main road [for the most part]
naturally there are those whom drive as if it is a bright and sunny day

Temp' is as earlier reported [fairly static iow]

Cold, with blowing snow. Several sources say we're in for a hard winter here this year. It does look like one so far.

No, it's cold here Dave! Today was okay, but I was doing the housework, so I didn't feel too cold, but tonight it is COLD!!

We watched the city's fireworks display
which cut loose from atop and below the Arndale Centre in Manchester
We saw, more fireworks ignited tonight
than was let-off on firework night

Temperature 'soared' up to 1.C before dark
and the frosting disappeared from the grass in the garden
the fog appears to be returning now
and the temp' has dived downwards 3 degrees again

Snowflakes

Snowflakes spill from heaven’s hand
Lovely and chaste like smooth white sand.
A veil of wonder laced in light
Falling Gently on a winters night.
Graceful beauty raining down
Giving magic to the lifeless ground.
Each snowflake like a falling star
Smiling beauty that’s spun afar.

Brrr, you all make me feel guilty. It's been in the high 60's and even hit 70 a couple of days last week. We did have a few days that it was a chilly 50's. It should get colder soon, usually after Thanksgiving it is cold so we are just having a mild early winter.

I think it is milder, but still quite cold. I want to keep down heating costs so I hope we don't get -5 you predicted Dave!
