Rain has stopped (THANK GOD) now foggy, and later should see that yellow thing in the sky. I forget what it's called. Also going up to 78f

I hate that
We do have that happen in heat waves here; going from the AC in the bedroom to a warmer room or from car to outside

I think missm means they don't recognize the sun anymore it's so rarely seen lately!

Oh...of course
I haven't slept a decent night since the dog arrived a week ago, and yesterday I was up from 8 am until 6 am THIS morning (after only 3 hours broken sleep MONDAY night)
So I am a bit delirious today, and feeling rather ill
But he IS coming around now

Praying that you feel better, Gail. Lack of sleep/rest does make such a difference. That really IS very little sleep to try to navigate on! I usually do fine with one bad night but if they start piling up, it gets dicey!

This sounds like having a new baby in the house. We used dog crates with our last 2 dogs...1 dog loved his crate...the other tolerated it...but the crates were a blessing to all of us in the long run.

That is bad heat...we are warming up here...but we usually have dry heat...then the smog...ugh...but most of our year is very pleasant.

We also crated our pups with good luck...this dog is beyond that however! Now we just heard he is *12* years old
Like they say "you can't teach an old dog new tricks"

They learn who is pack leader and try to gain that position for themselves
they... must 'give' to the human master/ defer to
the will of the pack leader...

and your intolerance for anything other than reasonable behaviour

He may still have many years ahead; he is healthy, and they have a longer life span.

A thunderstorm rolled by south of us a few hours ago
Sue will doubtless describe having seen and heard it
we'll see!

We attended an award ceremony today
and we escaped 'getting-wet'
on both the outward and homeward journeys

so, all in all it's been a pretty marvelous day

Today was very hot. At one point, my car thermometer (which is pretty accurate) said 98 degrees. Predicted to be 101 by next Thursday!

We have the same weather in my area of the northeast

I am looking forward to 80 and sunny by weeks end, after several more days of showers.

It has been nice not having to run the AC
