  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We had a night of rather severe storms last night. Strong winds about 70-80 mph (saw 2 trees snapped off at the base on my way to work.) Tornadoes spotted, but thankfully, not on the ground, heavy rain etc.

More are predicted today. Praying against that forecast!! The tornado sirens were going off in my suburb. So I got in husbands' walk-in closet. (our safest interior spot) Husband was working late.

The weather here has turned out quite bright here
though not-particularly warm [just before sundown]
if, it is like this tomorrow morning
I will make 'start' on tearing down the old side-door frame
and maybe manage to get around to erecting the new one also

The gate... still has four staves to be screwed on



I managed to remove the rotten side-door and it's frame
and also to erect the new frame earlier-today


Tomorrow, I may get a chance to make the door
[ledge and brace]
from some wood-cladding I bought the other week
All, 'hangs' upon the weather though

So true! Here, we have to water in the early morning or evening, but never in the middle of the day! Same is true for bodies. You burn so much more quickly if you're wet.



How are you on glass sliders?
