  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm going to have to look up Kokomo, it occurs to me that it isn't all that far away. Northern Indiana I think, but I'm not sure.

Clear and cold, 32 degrees right now with highs maybe in the 50s.

Maybe one day I'll narrow my location down, Chicagoland is a trifle big. I'm actually in Carol Stream, for what it's worth.

50sF here in Southwest Oklahoma. We're in our second day of gentle-soaking rain, and it's expected to continue several more days. I hope that it does because we need it. I love the smell of fresh air that's been cleaned by rain.

Kokomo is in north central Indiana, 45 miles north of Indianapolis, and 45 miles east of Lafayette. I've been in Chicago many times. It's typically a three hour drive to the city, and then...as you will know--any given length of time, depending on traffic and construction, to get around in the city!

Our weather is seasonable, and delightful! Mid 40's at night, and high 60's during the day.

Our weather here is in the 60s, so it's very pleasant. Our constant raining has stopped, but we'll have scattered showers over the next several days. The farmers are happy and everything is blooming.

warm ~ near 70, sunny and breezy.
The only thing keeping us from getting out to enjoy it, is the onslaught of biting black flies here in the northeast.
This too shall pass in 6 weeks; then the skeeters come
