hearing your child accept Jesus in his heart on your kitchen floor.

When your own mother says to you, "You're a great mom, you know?" Wow.

Watching a child discover the miraculous stories of faith from the Bible.

That singular moment when they relax in your arms as you sing them to sleep. And the warmth and scent of red-cheeked baby-sleep when they wake up.

**sigh** makes me want another one......

I love to see each milestone pass...it is bittersweet because I know he is getting bigger, but also each new thing is a step away from me.

The best thing is seeing my baby look at a picture of Jesus that my mom gave me each time we walk under it. His attention is completely riveted and I tell him we should say hi to Jesus and we have his little hand. The steps toward Jesus are the sweetest by far.

That's awesome man! My dad and mum are like 50 odd but they only have 3 kids. But I honestly think its enough. Imagine another little brother... Kidding!

I think I have gained the most out of parenting spiritually, as it provides me with an ever deepening and overwhelming glimpse of what God's relationship to humanity is meant to be, and how God feels toward us as children. This has sometimes created struggles in me as I've been stripped of wrong assumptions, of pride, and then found myself floundering to grasp deeper truths, but has ultimately brought me an astonishing amount of healing and joy, and in turn fed and strengthened my ability to parent well.

Hearing the words "I love you" for no reason just because it's how they feel

Watching them discover things for the first time (I went to pick my daughter up from preschool on Tuesdayand they were still outside playing so I sat and watched them. Kaitlyn was running around under a tree trying to catch the falling leaves - it was such a beautiful thing to see - she was so happy)

Just looking at my children I realize what a precious gift God has bestowed upon me and I am amazed. I honestly believe that I have learned more about life and about myself from my children then I would have ever thought possible.

I am still apologizing to my Dad for being such a problem growing up. I lost my mom almost 4 years ago to cancer and never had the chance to tell her that I was sorry. The whole time I was growing up, I thought my folks were so out of it and dumb. I got married and my thoughts on that changed really fast. My son is great tho, He has taught me that it's fun just to sit on the floor and scatter corn pops all around. Then chase them down and eat em one by one.
