  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We had really bad electrical storms here a week ago. It woke me up and as I was falling asleep I could smell burning, looked out the window and saw the house 30 ft away was on fire. Lightning struck the street light and must have hit the fence. Totalled the neighbour's car.

Yeah, thunder and electrical storms are pretty much a daily occurrence during the summer. Makes it difficult to do outdoorsy activities.

I was probably 1 or 2 when I learned. There's a video of me around 2 or 3 hitting a plastic ball with a plastic bat my dad or grandfather was tossing to me. By tee-ball, I was already running up on grounders.

Yeah everyone was fine. The home owner didn't even know about the fire until the fire engine was on its way. Glad I called it in!

I dunno, I did not think it was that great
I think a lot of people just love it or nostalgia
I mean nothing wrong with that, there is a lot of stuff I am nostalgic for
but I try not to have that get in the way of objectivity

Also, I think this weekend will be about cleaning up the mess I made in installing things trying to get her up and running again. (Under dash wires are all hanging down on the floor) Will also be about installing a new horn so she can pass inspection.

Next weekend I think will be a me fix up weekend. Finally fill the holes allowing water in and install the new audio system thats been collecting dust due to water leaking in the trunk. Water, 2 amps, subs and all do not mix.

It wont be fun to sand down a hole filler with metal shavings in it, but.... it should hold up better than that bondo garbage at least.

Toros gotta have a system again. If Im gonna do it, I may as well do it with a stereo with bluetooth so I can jam AND charge my smart dumb phone at the same time.
