Yes, and I am a very clean bull. I take 2-3 showers a day with or without facial hair.
I even break out if I go awhile without shaving underneath the hair.
As far as cleanly, even a hygienic man with a beard isn't ideal for clean. (Im sure that going through the proper steps as Im sure men with beards on here go through to be clean are cleaner than a man just showering and not shaving...... but still.... even a clean bearded man has more bacteria on his face than a man without.)
Well I was getting my info from a study done by a microbioligist. Just for the record ;p

The last time I had a beard was a year ago, just before Halloween. My hair was long, too. Down to between my shoulder blades. One of my nieces had a playdate two days before Halloween and I scared her little friends when they arrived. I shaved my beard and head afterward.
I was getting to that... but you said it bestYes, but the AMOUNT of bacteria one encounters....... is another issue.
I have a great immune system...... doesn't mean I wanna lick the inside of a portapotty.
Well thank you...... I wanted to say wear it on my face.... but I figured saying lick would be funnier.
I would have fit right in with the Robertsons from Duck Dynasty. lol
