So, my Ancestry DNA results came back and it was pretty much what I expected, but I'm far more German and French than I had originally thought.

45% Europe West
39% Great Britain
13% Ireland/Scotland/Wales
2% Iberian Peninsula
1% Europe South
>1% Europe East
>1% Scandinavia

My Ancestry DNA results came in a little while ago too, thought I'd share since Leo has. Pretty cool, certainly wasn't expecting the Senegal DNA. The main interesting thing though was that while my father is about 80% French, I only had 18% Europe West which includes potentially a variety of people, not just French. So while I was going around my whole life assuming I was half-French, in reality while that technically is true, my DNA makeup has much more English/Irish/Scottish.
I was also surprised by how much Northern DNA there was.
The Jewish DNA is interesting too.

All in all it was worth getting done in my mind.

I think I have a good idea for a future website. Just need to learn sufficient coding skills first.

Then again.. if others like the idea.. perhaps I could recruit a team. Not sure how much work it would be for one guy.. although I'd like to get most of it done myself as possible. Heck.. I'll probably need to hire some lawyers too.

Not even exactly sure how the website would work. But the more I learn about coding, the more feasible it seems.

Somalia has been a very interesting case study, though very brutal. Mogadishu is risky enough, let alone venturing out of the city. In rural areas due to conflict, if you come across a stranger and they have a weapon, you shoot to kill on sight, no questions asked. This man I was listening to had shot 5 people in this context. I hope to see the day al-Shabaab are defeated and destroyed permanently. It disappoints me that younger people especially are so vulnerable that just because a group calls themselves 'muslim' and have shahada flags that they must be 'righteous'. A huge lack of education is to account for this as well, through interviews, I've seen a lot of these younger people don't even read or understand their faith, rather they just listen and take for accepted granted what these terrorists propagate. It will be further interesting for me to find out the link between a lack of education and poor socio-economic situation compared with causes of terrorism.
