  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

*Sigh* Today was not a good day. My bag was stolen at work. It had my medicine for my headaches and some other non valuable stuff. Now I have a tension headache, probably cause I didn't take my medicine combined with the fact that my stuff was taken. When stuff like this happens to me my mood just nosedives and I just want to be locked up in my room all day.

Just recently found out that many players on the Philadelphia Eagles, including the head coach, are born again Christians. It was refreshing to see a team actually glorify God yesterday, especially after a victory at the Super Bowl. Even Matthew Slater (from the Patriots) boldly talked about his faith, and shared his respect for them. Supposedly, the Eagles were the only team this year in which every single one of their players stood for the national anthem all season long. There is also a lot of symbolism behind their name: Philadelphia as in the church of Philadelphia / brotherly love, and the eagles representing the verse Isaiah 40:31. With everything going on lately, stories like that are so encouraging to hear about.

Yeah, kind of always felt bad for him. As well with other child starts who were dragged through the mud, like that Friday girl. Guess Justin was a little older.. still..

Yeah, Rebeca Black had it really rough. She had to be home schooled after being bullied by her school mates after the video. If I remember correctly, that Friday music video was a birthday gift intended to be something to put on her college resume. She had no idea it would go viral and become the electronic mess it became. She didn't even write the song either.

One of the biggest reasons why I dislike going outside today is the fact that someone could record me and turn me into a viral meme. I could not handle that kind of attention.

Yeah she was like 13.. yet a bunch of adults on the internet made fun of her.

Yeah sometimes I wonder about people behind the memes.. like that neckbeard guy (well multiple ones.. lol).. it's like ha-ha.. you're ugly.. and that fact will remind you at unsuspecting times. Want save refuge on an internet form? That meme could pop up there..
