  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Random facts I just realized:

-2017 was the first year in 10 years that I had the same favorite character the entire year (Samus was my favorite). The only other years that happened were 2006 and 2007 (Tails was my favorite then).

-On January 3rd Samus will have been my favorite character for 19 months. Only one character has been my favorite longer than that at one time; my very first favorite, Tails, who was my favorite for about 3 years one time.

I find it incredible that the movie, The Breakfast Club, managed to become such a classic even though it had only one filming location, less than a dozen characters, almost no special effects, and the plot simply being five teens in detention.

You know you've done something right when you get that much success with such a limited amount of production values.

I had 2 books which looked ideal for learning Iraqi dialect Arabic. The 1st which appealed more to me unfortunately only utilises Latin alphabet and not Arabic phonetics, unfortunately. Looks like I'll opt for #2, which just happens to be a lot more expensive too -.-

Check out a website I think is called Babel. They have quite a few languages on there where most of the introductions are free if I remember rightly.
