  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

They're not so much for me but for my mother. She usually takes the AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and Def Leppard t-shirts and hands the rest out at the school she works at.

I think that people who judge other peoples use of language as immoral don't really care enough about morals. I don't believe in mixing petty ideas in with good ones. I think a person should be judged by the wholeness of what they are, which to some measure always implies remembering that they are not you and could certainly still be much better than you and ultimately God willed that they be. they could still have things that you might consider wrong but what does that matter if you are straining out a gnat but swallow a camel?

some people are wrong and do wrong, just like we all do. the NT says to have peace with one with another if we can. the OT tells people to stone someone to death if they pick up sticks on the wrong day. choose this day who you serve, because Gods sets before all of us the choice of life and death.

Had a nice evening yesterday, I got to just be creative and draw while listening to Christmas music. It was sooooo relaxing. You know, I think some of the most beautiful music is found in Christmas music.
